Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 01.01.2026
Axioma Software ("we," "our," or "us") operates the mobile application Cramble for language learning (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data is handled transparently.
By using this app, you also agree to our Terms of Use
1. Data Collection and Usage
1.1 Personal Data
We do not collect any personal data. The App does not require user accounts, registration, or any contact information (such as names, emails, or phone numbers). Your learning progress and created lessons are stored locally on your device.
1.2 App Usage & Analytics
The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect limited, pseudonymized usage information, such as:
Screens visited and session duration
Feature interactions (e.g., buttons clicked)
Device and app performance metrics
This data is collected in an aggregated and pseudonymized form and is used solely to improve the functionality, usability, and performance of the App, including understanding onboarding flow and identifying potential issues.
The data collected does not directly identify you as an individual.
1.3 Crash & Performance Data
To ensure reliability, the App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect:
Crash logs and stack traces
Device model and OS version
This data is strictly necessary to maintain the stability and security of the App and is processed in a pseudonymized form to help diagnose and fix technical issues.
2. No User Accounts and Privacy by Design
Our application is designed with a "Privacy First" approach:
No Registration: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the app.
Local Storage: All lessons, images, and progress data are stored locally on your device. We do not have servers that store your personal content.
No Access: As the developer, we have no technical means to access, view, or share the lessons you create.
3. Permissions and Device Data
To provide its core educational features, the App requires access to:
Camera: Used solely for capturing images of textbooks or study materials.
Microphone: Used for speech recognition and pronunciation practice.
Data Processing: While images and audio are processed for the purpose of creating lessons and practicing, we never store this data on our own servers. For specific processing tasks (like translation or text recognition), data is securely transmitted to industry-standard providers as described in Section 5.
4. User Generated Content (UGC) and Copyright
The App is a tool for creating personalized lessons. Users can create content by photographing textbooks or entering text manually.
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. You must ensure that your use of materials (e.g., textbook pages) complies with local copyright laws (such as "Fair Use" for personal education).
No Server Storage: We do not host, store, or have access to the lessons you create. When you share a lesson with a friend, the transmission happens directly via third-party platforms (messengers, email, etc.).
Sharing Lessons: When you share a lesson with a friend, the data is transferred directly from your device to theirs (or via third-party platforms like messengers). We are not involved in this transmission and do not host this content.
Copyright Infringement: We respect intellectual property. If you believe your work is being used via our tool in a way that constitutes infringement, please contact us at info@axioma.dk. Note that since data is stored locally on users' devices, we have no technical ability to delete content from their phones.
In the event of a valid copyright claim, we will cooperate with the rightsholder by providing instructions to the user or, if technically feasible in future updates, removing the shared access to the infringing material.
5. Data Deletion
Since we do not store your data on our servers:
To delete all data: Simply delete the specific lessons within the App or uninstall the App from your device.
Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored lessons and cached data.
This process fully satisfies Google Play's data deletion requirements.
If you have questions about your data or wish to confirm its deletion, you may also contact us at support@axioma.dk.
6. Third-Party Services and Data Transmission
To provide high-quality educational features, the App integrates with specialized APIs. When you use these features, specific data is transmitted to the following providers:
Text Recognition & Translation: Images and text may be processed via Google Cloud Vision API, Google Cloud Translation API, and DeepL API.
AI Features: Textual data may be processed via OpenAI API to generate educational content.
Technical Infrastructure: We use Google Play Services for core app functionality and billing.
Analytics & Stability: We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (as described in Section 1).
Important Security Note:
No Data Retention: We use these services for real-time processing only. Your data is not used by us to train models or stored by us after the processing is complete.
Encryption: All data transmitted to these APIs is encrypted via industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
No Personal Identifiers: We do not send your name, email, or any identifying information to these APIs.
